LOCKDOWN – arrangements for the Knysna Veterinary Clinic, Knysna, Sedgefield and Wilderness branches.
As of midnight, Thursday March 26th our clinics will be closed.
We will as always be able to see emergencies on a 24 hour basis. The number of the veterinarian on call will be on the after-hours message of the clinic. The numbers to call are:
KNYSNA: 044 382 1844
SEDGEFIELD: 044 343 2959
WILDERNESS: 044 877 0629
Furthermore, our telephone lines will be open from 9 am to 11 am on weekday mornings at our Knysna and Sedgefield branches and Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at our Wilderness branch. We ask you to please only call us during those hours to make appointments for animals that require urgent medical care. Please also call during these hours for appointments to collect chronic medications and dog and cat food.
When making these appointments you will be asked if you have tested positive for, or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for the COVID 19 virus or if you are currently awaiting test results. You will also be asked if you or someone close to you has traveled outside our borders in the last month, as well as whether you or someone in your household is experiencing any possible COVID 19 symptoms.
If you are deemed a high risk for transmission, based on the above criteria, please arrange for a healthy/low risk person to bring your pet in.
We apologize for the inconvenience that these measures will undoubtedly cause you. We look forward to working with you to curb this pandemic, whilst we continue to look after the needs of our beloved pets.
