Veterinarian - Knysna

My career choice as a veterinarian was born from my love of nature. From childhood the scientist in me yearned to explore wild places and the creatures that occurred in them. I have an urge to find out how things work. My job as a vet in Knysna very much fulfills this yearning. As a mixed practitioner I encounter a myriad of different challenges every day. In the morning I might be out with cattle or horses, and later that day find myself doing intricate surgery on a dog or cat. I love the combination of mental and physical work and I also get the oppurtunity to do a fair amount of wildlife work. I am very much a family man enjoying raising my children in this beautiful area with my supportive wife.

My passion for veterinary science started as young girl growing up in Knysna, riding my cheeky pony and entertaining big dreams. There is nothing I find more satisfying than solving a medical mystery and sending a happy, healthy patient on their way. As a vet, I love mixed animal practice, however my passion is being outside treating horses.

I embrace every day with a positive outlook and a big smile on my face, take every opportunity to learn and am very excited to be part of such an amazing practice and team.
In my spare time I’ll either be running with my dog, horse riding, cycling or spending time with my loving family

Veterinary Nurse - Knysna

I started at Knysna Veterinary Clinic in May of 2018, after spending a couple of years travelling and working overseas. Growing up, I spent most of my time exploring the great outdoors and so it has been easy to make Sedgefield my home. At work I enjoy the challenge that each new day brings and always try my best to ensure your pet feels loved and safe during their stay with us. When I’m not loving on your fur-kids, I try and get outdoors either by horse riding, hiking or practicing my newest hobby - photography.
